What is FORMED?

FORMED is the “Catholic Netflix.”  It is an on-line platform that contains amazing content which will allow you to explore and grow in your faith.  This site is available by subscription only.  St. John has purchased a subscription for our entire parish.  That means you and your family can access incredible and amazing content at no cost to you!

Programs- featuring video-based Bible studies, explorations of our Catholic faith, and self-guided retreats, just to name a few.  In addition to video content, study guides are available for most programs.

 

Movies- wonderful feature-length films for the whole family.

 

Audio- numerous MP3 audios of Lighthouse Catholic Media talks to inspire you.

 

Books- downloadable books on various aspects of our Catholic faith, including some Catholic fiction.  Available for Nook, Kindle, iBooks, Android, and PDF.

 

How do you get access to all of the content?

 

It’s EASY and FREE!  Go to www.formed.org and create your own account.  Enter St. John’s parish access code:  YKRNG8.  You will have access to all the available resources, and new content is added all the time!

Programs- Divine Mercy - Presented by Fr. Michael Gaitley, learn the history of God’s love and mercy through stories of Saints Faustina, Maximilian Kolbe, and Pope John Paul II, and the incredible message of Fatima.  This is a great way to participate in these last weeks of the Jubilee Year of Mercy.

Movies- Mother Teresa – Learn about our Church’s newest saint through this full length feature film of her life, staring Olivia Hussey.

 

Audios- The Face of God- Hear from St. Teresa herself in this audio!!  St. Teresa of Calcutta is known throughout the world as a woman totally committed to the Gospel.  In the first presentation, she explains the infinite value of God’s gift of life; in the second presentation, she emphasizes the Eucharist and our call to imitate Christ by loving each other unconditionally.
